Nanosafety Consulting
10-9 Consultant Team provides a comprehensive service regarding nanotoxicity and the safety aspects of nanomaterials; including carbon nanotubes and nanomaterials metal oxides. We assist our clients in developing a complete report package to be in compliance with the California AB289 and other regulations.
10-9 consulting Services is a partner of both the International Association of Nanotechnology and the California Institute of Nanotechnology.
Scientific Consulting
- Evaluate the human health effects, including side effects, of nanotubes and nanoparticle metal oxides
- Conduct animal toxicology studies, including mutagenicity & genotoxicity
- Conduct metabolism/pharmacokinetics studies
- Assess human safety and environmental impacts of carbon nanotubes
- Study the fate and complete life cycle transport of carbon nanotubes
- Provide contract services for nanomaterials characterizations
Nanosafety Consortium
10-9 Consulting Services and our partners have developed the NanoSafety Consortium with the primary goal of optimizing the beneficial applications of nanotechnology by expanding the knowledge of the health and environmental implications of nanoparticles..
The Consortium will foster communication between a number of regional, national, and international initiatives, and facilitate the collaboration amongst stakeholders in this effort worldwide.
Purpose
- To coordinate the efforts of regional, national, and international initiatives relative to the study of environmental health and safety aspects of nanoparticles.
- To review the latest scientific and technological developments related to the risks of nanoparticle exposure on human health and the environment.
- To serve as a coordinating body for the development of international standards for nanoparticle toxicological methodologies.
- To study physical and chemical properties of different types of nanoparticles and agglomerated nanocrystals.
- To develop and validate nanomanufacturing safety protocols.
- To provide consulting services to industry members as well as to provide expert recommendations to major funding bodies for future research in the field.
