10-9 Consulting is a consulting firm focusing on the safety aspects of nanomaterials products in chemical industry, nanotechnology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and consumer products industry. Among the many services we offer are:

California AB-289 Compliance.

On January28, 2008, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rolled out a new voluntary programme to glean more information about nanoscale materials. Their Nanoscale Materials Stewardship Program (NMSP).

Beginning the second half of 2008, the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) started the process to request information regarding analytical test methods, fate and transport in the environment, and other relevant information from manufacturers of certain chemicals of concern, pursuant to Assembly Bill (AB) 289, which was signed into law in 2006.

In 2010, the Department began searching for information on nanometal oxides such as nano titanium dioxide and nano zinc oxide, and nanometals such as nano silver and nano zerovalent iron. On December 21, 2010, DTSC issued formal request letters to manufacturers of nano cerium oxide, nano silver, nano titanium dioxide, nano zero valent iron, nano zinc oxide, and quantum dots.
